Summer registration is underway, sign ups begin on June 2nd and our class will be open for enrollment until mid July.
Summer Session will start July 6th and 7th, this year Tiny Tots will be learning about our platets in the solar system and our class will take a trip to the science center.
This is a 6 week class, M-W & T-TH
A typical Tiny Tots week will include art and crafts projects, story time, show and tell as well as daily in class worksheets and even homework pages. Snack and drink is provided daily through a rotating donation from each family. There are themed-based holiday parties as well as a graduation in the spring. Throughout the year there are various field trips as well that expose the children to new environments that assist in their development and interaction with nature for an example with trips to the Arboretum and Danny's Farm. There are trips to the local library as well as the fire department.
Structured learning during this session includes learning primary shapes and colors as well as numerals and counting.
Learning for this session is alphabet / letters and beginning phonics.
Learning structure is continued with alphabet/phonics and leading into early reading putting sounds together to form words.
Basic elementary concepts, there is daily homework and children are rewarded with stickers for completed homework.
Tiny Tots is a co-op program with an emphasis on early learning skills. The program provides the opportunity for your child to develop social and classroom skills while making new friends and being involved in play, crafts, music and story telling. Parents must stay to help in the class at least 2-3 days during each session; this allows for an affordable program and gives parents a glimpse of their children in their first classroom environment. This is a program that is offered year round for children ages 3 to 5 and they must be potty trained. There is a 3-day a week class that meets Monday – Wednesday and Friday and a 2-day a week class that meets on Tuesday and Thursday. The hours are from 9:30 am to 12:30. We follow a year round plan that introduces children to the structure that they will encounter when they begin elementary school.
Our program is year round and is segmented into 4 distinct sessions that chronicle the traditional 4 seasons and include art projects, story time and learning themes that are based on the seasons as well as holidays. We follow a year round plan that introduces children to the structure that they will encounter when they begin elementary school.
Sarah Nichols has been the instructor for Tiny Tots for over 23 years and has enhanced the program throughout this period. Mrs. Nichols continually updates and upgrades the learning aspects of the class as well as inventing and introducing new art projects.
br>Her longevity with the program has rewarded her with now having her original Tiny Tots bringing their children into the program.
